2021 Cabernet Sauvignon [Amphora]

There is a veritable shit-ton of Cabs made by Napa's 600+ wineries that will pass muster as damn fine wine. But there are only a few Napa Cabernets capable of blowing our skirts up like this one does. Aged in Caldwell Cooperage French oak barrels, it was also treated to a few special moments in a custom clay amphora – specifically to expose the purity of Cabernet we grow at Caldwell without the overbearing sweetness of oak running the show. The result is a wine we could drink all day, all night, and forever. An iron fist in a velvet cloak of cherries, cocoa, violets and rosewater, with a surprisingly mineral-driven core, this is one very special Cab indeed.
