2019 Malbec

The only variety whose leaves naturally turn red in fall, this varietal hails from Cahors, France where it's the star of that appellation's flagship reds. These days you’ll also find it in Bordeaux and Chile, but Argentina has the most acres of Malbec in the world. Stateside, Caldwell is among a super-small group of those in the know who put this baby in bottle all on its own. A grape with a silky frame and lovely natural acidity, Malbec does incredible things with Coombsville’s extended hangtimes.
