Society of WINEsteins METEORS + MOVIES Saturday August 11 | 4:30pm-10pm
Calling all WINEsteins!
Rocket Science by Caldwell has teamed up with the Napa Valley Film Festival to pull off an epic summer night of movies, dinner by the campfire, stargazing, magic, science and enlightenment.
We’ll kick things off with a popcorn bar, followed by in-cave screenings of a film selected by our partners at the Napa Valley Film Festival.
You’ll meet fellow WINEsteins and a few other special guests and surprises (think astronauts and and astronomers from the Astronomical Society of the Pacific).
Dinner is Grand Champion Woodhouse Barbecue with all the fixins paired with our most recent vintage of our Rocket Science Proprietary Red and DIY s'mores by the firepit. Then we’ll watch the Perseid Meteor showers with a star-studded tour, from the top of the world at the Caldwell cave.
Be sure to layer up for the evening; it gets chilly after dark in the Coombsville caldera.
Tickets are sold in pairs, so find someone you like being in the dark with…
$295 includes admission for two, a bottle of Rocket Science Red Wine, GoVino glasses, dinner, movie screening, live music and lots more.

Here’s what’s in store:
Start time 4:30 for checkin at Caldwell winery. This is a hike-in / hike-out event so be sure to wear comfortable shoes.
DIY popcorn over the campfire, finished with fixings from the Caldwell popcorn bar.
Screenings of Unleashed, a film presented by the Napa Valley Film Festival at 5:30 and 7:30, and Finn Taylor - the film's director - will also be joining us. Seating in the Caldwell cave is limited, so we’ll take turns watching and eating - let us know what time you prefer and we’ll save you seats.
Woodhouse BBQ will be serving up succulent campfire eats.
Galaxy debut of our 2017 Rocket Science Proprietary White (available to taste and purchase), plus the latest release of Proprietary Red.
Winding down the night with stargazing after dinner led by a professional astronomer from the Astronomical Society of the Pacific, who’ll guide us through the Perseid meteor shower and answer any far-out questions you might have along with campfire s’mores and live music.
